Source Overview
Following his service, Gill created Source, a company based on his passion for quality and innovation. It didn't take long for Yoki to set his sights on hydration: water has always been a priority in arid Israel plus the available systems had obvious issues with taste, bacteria, and water delivery. While others developed “band-aid” solutions, simply selling extra accessories, Source started from scratch. They developed a special bacteria resistant Glass-Like polymer with integrated Anti-Microbial for their reservoirs and tubes, patented an airtight, leakproof wide opening, and added a patented military valve design built to deliver more liquid with less effort for soldiers on-the-move. Thanks to these designs, taste, safety and maintenance are no longer hydration concerns. We're continuing to push the envelope. Our new NBC hydration systems were developed in conjunction with Israeli experts, perhaps the world's most experienced in NBC issues. We're now working to develop objective tests and standards for evaluating hydration systems, something which should ease procurement by making the process increasingly scientific. Why Source? Because of our flexibility and fast response time- we can produce custom tailored samples in as little as two weeks. Because our products are designed by ex-members of elite IDF units who understand what soldiers really need. Because our systems have been extensively field tested with hundreds of thousands in use, many in the most extreme conditions. And because first and foremost, we're a product company and will continue to lead the way in hydration technology. The word is getting out- militaries worldwide are making the switch to Source. The United States Marine Corps recently made the change, midway through a multi year contract. The Swedish Army developed a vest-integrated hydration system with Source and are now outfitting all troops with our systems. Other large scale customers include the U.K. Ministry of Defence, Singapore Army, Israeli Police, Israeli Defense Force, Italian Army, Slovenian Army, Irish MOD, and German Army. “Future Soldier” programs like FIST (UK) and FELIN (France) are working closely with Source to develop their future ideal.

Source Vagabond Systems was born when founder Yoki Gill served in the elite Shaldag unit of the Israeli Defense Force. A natural product designer, Yoki quickly found the flaws in any issued gear ultimately was assigned the job of developing the unit's backpacks and combat vests.
